INDIA PRIVACY ADDENDUM  

 

1.     Commitment and Scope

1.1     This India Privacy Addendum supplements the information contained in the   Global Privacy Policy and our Fair Processing Notice.

1.2     Charles Taylor complies with the requirements of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the Act) with regards to the collection, storage, processing and disclosure of personal information and is committed to upholding the core data protection principles.

2.    Legal Bases

2.1    Under the Act, data processing can be conducted without explicit consent for certain legitimate uses. The uses Charles Taylor will rely on include performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, protection of vital interests and legitimate interests. More information on these legal bases can be found in the Global Fair Processing Notice. Where we cannot rely on these legitimate uses, then we will obtain consent from the data principal. 


3.    Your Privacy Rights  

3.1    If you are a resident of India for whom we collect personal information, you may rely on the disclosures in our Global Privacy Policy and Global Fair Processing Notice. 

3.2   Under the Act, depending on the purpose of processing, you may be afforded the following rights regarding your personal information:

•    Right to correction and erasure
•    Right to data portability
•    Right to withdraw consent
•    Right to object to processing
•    Right to restrict processing
•    Right to complain

 

3.3   Charles Taylor does not process your personal information for targeted advertising purposes or carry out profiling on you or your behaviour and/or habits. You will not be discriminated against for exercising any of your data rights.

4.    Your right to complain
