QATAR PRIVACY ADDENDUM  

 

1.     Commitment and Scope

1.1     This Qatar Privacy Addendum supplements the information contained in the Global Privacy Policy and our Fair Processing Notice.

1.2     Charles Taylor complies with the requirements of Law No. 13 Concerning Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (PDPPL) with regards to the collection, storage, processing and disclosure of personal information and is committed to upholding the core data protection principles. 

1.3
     Where Charles Taylor is either licenced by the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), or, through ongoing arrangements we use a QFC licenced firm to process data for individuals, we will also comply with QFC Regulation No. 6 of 2005 on QFC Data Protection Regulations (DPL) and the Data Protection Riles of 2005 (DPR).

1.4     For those who work for Charles Taylor in Qatar, the Charles Taylor Employee Privacy Notice is accessible online via our intranet.


2.    Your Privacy Rights  

2.1   If you are a resident of Qatar for whom we collect personal information, you may rely on the disclosures in our Global Privacy Policy and Global Fair Processing Notice. 

2.2   Under the PDPPL, DPL and DPR you are afforded the following rights regarding your personal information:

•    Right to withdraw consent
•    Right to object to processing of personal data
•    Right to omission or erasure of personal data
•    Right to rectification
•    Right to restriction
•    Right to access
•    Right to data portability
•    Right not to be subject to automated decision making

 

2.3   Charles Taylor does not process your personal information for targeted advertising purposes or carry out profiling on you or your behaviour and/or habits. You will not be discriminated against for exercising any of your data rights.

3.    Your right to complain   

3.1   We work conscientiously to handle your personal data responsibly. If you are unhappy with the way we are doing this, please contact our DPO, who will try to address your concerns:

3.2   You have a right to complain to the National Cyber Governance and Assurance Affairs (NCGAA) of the National Cyber Security Agency who administers the PDPPL.
