Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy is divided into the three pillars below

Employee Engagement

Employee voice is essential to creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment and our Employee Networks play a fundamental role. Connecting our global vision with our regions to provide resources to both our colleagues and the organisation. Our employee networks represent each area on our DE&I agenda. Transparent Data, Policy & Processes

It is the data that we collect that will underpin our progress and strengthen our understanding.

We have committed to:

  • Enabling and encouraging our people to voluntarily share their diversity data.
  • Openly reporting diversity data and progress, both internally and externally.
  • Ensuring all CT policies and processes are inclusive and fair for all, including our recruitment process.

We continuously work to ensure Charles Taylor is recruiting a diverse workforce through a number of initiatives. A few examples include reviewing all job descriptions and advertisements for potentially biased language; identifying senior roles for which females should be shortlisted, aiming to close our gender pay gap; and working with our Applicant Tracking System provider to implement diversity questionnaires at application stage.

All colleagues will continue to play a role in driving our agenda by:

  • Attending required DE&I training for all colleagues.
  • Leading by examples with DE&I interventions at Management and Leadership levels.
  • Holding our suppliers accountable.

Charles Taylor are sponsors of two market-wide networks to further enhance the opportunities available to our underrepresented colleagues and allies alike.

 

Link is the cross-insurance industry LGBTQ+ network whose mission is to make the insurance industry the employer of choice for the LGBTQ+ community.

Link looks to support the attraction and development of LGBTQ+ talent into, and within, the insurance industry by engaging and collaborating with market participants, the LGBTQ+ community and diversity networks to drive inclusion and acceptance within the workplace.

The Insurance Cultural Awareness Network (iCAN) is the first industry-wide, independent, volunteer-run network that supports multicultural inclusion across the insurance sector.

Our goal is to promote multicultural inclusion and progression, engage with allies, and celebrate the benefits of inclusion and diversity in the industry.
