What made you join CT?

I joined Charles Taylor Adjusting in 2011 because of its strong reputation in the market and the opportunity to work on some of the most complex and technically challenging claims in the Natural Resources sector. Coming from an engineering and project management background, I was attracted by the combination of technical problem-solving, client interaction and the truly international nature of the work.
 

What does your job entail on a day-to-day basis?

No two days are ever the same. My role involves supporting our teams on major losses, working with insureds, insurers, brokers and other service providers internationally. I also develop our Natural Resources business and help shape our strategy for the future. One day I might be negotiating the settlement of an offshore energy loss, and the next I could be mentoring colleagues within the team.
 

What is your favourite thing about working for Charles Taylor Adjusting?

The people. We have talented colleagues across the world who are always willing to share their knowledge and expertise. The collaborative culture, combined with the opportunity to work on challenging assignments and build lasting client relationships, is what makes Charles Taylor such a rewarding place to work.
 

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Don't worry about having all the answers. Focus on being curious, keep learning, and take opportunities when they arise—even if they feel slightly outside your comfort zone. Most career-defining experiences come from being willing to embrace new challenges.
 

If you weren't in this role, what would you be doing?

Given my background as a mechanical engineer and project manager, I would probably still be involved in delivering large-scale engineering or infrastructure projects. I've always enjoyed solving complex problems and working with multidisciplinary teams to achieve a common goal.
 

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, travelling, and staying active outdoors. I also manage and coach a female ice hockey team in North London, where both of my daughters have played. Travelling around the UK for competitions and supporting the players' development has been a hugely rewarding experience and a source of great pride.
