8th March is International Women’s Day, and we are celebrating the achievements of women and the focus on gender equality, bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.

This year’s theme is Break the Bias: a world free from bias is a world that is diverse, inclusive and equitable, a place where difference is celebrated, and women are equal.

At Charles Taylor, we empower everyone to take ownership of our actions and thoughts every day to break the bias in communities, workplaces, schools, universities and beyond.

To support our colleagues this year, we will be running Minus the Bias workshops, for all our regions across Charles Taylor. This is a 60-minute workshop where all colleagues are invited to learn to take control of their biases by understanding the power of the unconscious mind: how it can reveal itself in day-to-day decision making and how techniques can be developed to remove bias from decisions. It’s a workshop to commit to action and #breakthebias.

We are delighted to see that colleagues have also shown their commitment to the International Women’s Day 2022 campaign by striking the #breakthebias pose. We recognise there are still steps that all businesses need to take to reach gender equity, and we are committed to achieving them.
