About This Individual


  • Chris is a licenced engineer holding type ratings on various Boeing and Airbus aircraft.
  • He began his career at ATC Lasham where he gained his licences and extensive heavy maintenance experience on a variety of Boeing, McDonnell Douglas and Lockheed aircraft.  He then moved to JMC airlines which later became Thomas Cook Airlines, as a line engineer maintaining their Airbus and Boeing fleet, initially at London Gatwick airport and then Birmingham.
  • Since joining CTA in 2006, Chris has handled numerous technically complex and high value losses in Europe, the Middle East and particularly Africa.  Notable examples are the LAM Mozambique E190 total loss in Namibia in 2013, and a complex large spares fire loss in Angola.  Chris has also undertaken various airport and operator risk reviews.
  • Recently, he moved to a senior role with a London Lead Insurer where he gained direct experience managing complex hull, liability and aviation products claims on a number of key accounts, before returning the CTA as Senior Surveyor and Adjuster in early 2015.
  • Chris holds a Masters degree (MSc) in Safety and Accident Investigation - Air Transport, and is Cert CII registered.
