Charles Taylor recognised for digital solutions in ITIJ Awards - Venture

06 November 2020

Charles Taylor has won the Insurtech Initiative of the Year Award in the prestigious 2020 International Travel and Health Insurance Awards.

Over the last year, Charles Taylor has developed a range of digital solutions to meet the changing needs of clients and customers. This latest accolade particularly recognises its development and launch of Venture: a digital COVID risk assessment tool.

Venture helps employers manage their employees’ safe return to the workplace or to international travel, by using hard evidence to identify their likelihood of developing serious symptoms of COVID-19 or of bringing the virus into the office. Employees simply complete a brief online (confidential) health assessment that determines their individual risk profile. Employers can then implement the right measures to protect them, whilst also meeting duty of care obligations.

The tool draws on Charles Taylor’s 25 years’ experience of medical screening and can be configured to destination or employer-specific requirements.

Angela Smith, Head of Proposition Development for Charles Taylor, comments, “At Charles Taylor, we recognise the importance of constantly developing our services in this changing COVID landscape. Flexible digital solutions such as Venture are enabling our clients to reduce risks, ease processes and minimise friction.”

Other insurtech accolades received by Charles Taylor this year include the Innovative Product and Lloyd's & the London Market Awards in the National Insurance Awards. It has also been shortlisted for the Digital Champion Award in the Women in Insurance Awards, the final results of which are to be announced later this month.
